The Hoover Law Firm, PLLC was formed by Attorney Donnie Hoover in order to provide experienced legal services to the Charlotte community.
As a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina Central University’s School of Law, Attorney Hoover is a Charlotte native who has been practicing law for over 33 years. He began his career in Washington, D.C., in the Attorney General's Honors Program as a Trial Attorney with the United States Department of Justice. While at the Department of Justice, he rose to the level of Assistant Branch Director supervising in excess of 30 trial attorneys. He has been working in private practice in the Charlotte area for the past 24 years and has successfully represented numerous clients on a variety of issues.
In addition to his thriving legal career, Attorney Hoover is very active in the Charlotte community and beyond. He is a member of the John S. Leary Bar Association and a Life Member of the NAACP. He is also a member and Past Master of Zechariah Alexander, Sr., Lodge No. 833, Prince Hall Affiliate, Free and Accepted Masons of the Jurisdiction of North Carolina. On Sundays, you will find Attorney Hoover at Steele Creek A.M.E. Zion Church where he has been a lifelong member and where he serves as a musician and Trustee (Chairman, 2007-2008).
Attorney Hoover is married with one daughter and enjoys gospel music, playing the piano, golfing, and traveling when he is not practicing law.
